The Nambour Winter Jazz Fest is back for a fourth year and set to entertain jazz lovers over three big days from 19th to 21st July 2019.

With almost double the lineup from 2018, the Nambour Winter Jazz Fest will feature more than fifteen world class Australian and International Jazz artists offering a diverse range of jazz styles, entertainment, and more in the fringe of the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland town of Nambour.

Thanks to the support of Sunshine Coast Council, Queensland Performing Arts and other sponsoring organisations, individuals and volunteers, Nambour Winter Jazz fest is set to bring record crowds to this years’ event.

Holding the festival over three days in the Nambour also allows festivalgoers a chance to enjoy all that the historic region has to offer whilst they immerse themselves in the jam-packed program including; local markets, cafes, art, culture, the Nambour Heritage Sound trail and iconic Big Pineapple.

“This year the three-day festival offers visitors the chance to really immerse themselves in the whole jazz experience with a huge range of acts across three locations in Nambour.  Jazz offers so many styles that by growing the festival to three days, there is something for everyone,” says festival organiser Robyn Brown.

“This event offers visitors the chance to get up close and experience what jazz is all about, and I’m really excited.”

Kicking off on the Friday night with “Jazz in The Lounge’, visitors can sit back and relax in the Lounge Bar at Nambour RSL Club with some cool jazz and fine wines.

Saturday’s events will take place between the C-Square complex and Nambour RSL Club and include musician workshops, the ‘Jazz Walk’ and ‘Courtyard Celebrations’. Filling Nambour with music, dancing, pop-up performances, culinary delights, fine wines, great coffee and a stunning variety of amazing artists, making this a truly one-of-a-kind event.

The festival’s headline act this year is award winning vocalist Emma Pask, one of Australia’s favourite voices in jazz. Jazz legend James Morrison describes Emma as ‘the greatest gift to Australian jazz vocals in the last decade’. Audiences will be spellbound by her effortless honest stage presence and powerful vocal ability at 'The Supper Club' on the Saturday night, which also offers a 2-course meal at the Nambour RSL Club.

Also new at this year’s festival is the Sunday ‘Jazz Brunch’ at Nambour RSL Club, where visitors can enjoy a delicious breakfast and relax with a morning of Jazz artists. Then to finish off the weekend, tap your feet and clap your hands with an afternoon of Gospel Jazz in the Chapel with SCAT.

From the sounds of Paris and world jazz, to sophisticated songwriters and singers, the funky grooves of New Orleans, Gypsy swing, Brazilian beats, intricate guitars, acoustic ensembles, Spanish flamenco, incredibly fast boogie-woogie piano playing, sizzling saxes, toe-tapping swing... there is so much to choose from.
